Student Access and Support

Of the barriers to learning that students and prospective students face, financial pressures are often the most difficult to overcome: they can literally mean the difference between pursuing a higher education or not. Financial barriers are especially problematic for learners who have families to support or other important financial commitments, a group which includes many of AU’s students.

By investing in the creation of more bursaries for students in financial need and more scholarships that recognize academic achievement, AU will provide a valuable and meaningful incentive for adults to pursue and continue their studies.

With your support, we will expand scholarships and bursaries in:

  • Faculty of Business
  • Faculty of Health Disciplines
  • Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences
  • Faculty of Science and Technology
  • Faculty of Graduate Studies
  • Centre for Distance Education
